Abundance is our natural state.

One of the most commonly held wealth beliefs on the planet is that there isn't enough: not enough time, enough resources, enough money…  This scarcity mentality drives our consumption, entices greed and fear, and contributes to feelings of collective anxiety and unhappiness.

While social conditioning may want to teach us that to be abundant, we have to do and have more, this is not true!

We can be abundant by doing and having little. In fact, true abundance can be obtained simply through a feeling of abundance. Abundance, like wealth, isn’t really a physical thing; it’s a state of mind, a way of being, a consciousness.

Abundance has very little to do with how much money you have in the bank. It is found in your perspective and the way you view and live your life.

Eastern philosophies have been teaching the abundance mindset for thousands of years. The yogis teach the concept of santosha, loosely translated as “contentment,” as a practice. This means slowing down to appreciate the little things and being present in those moments. It encourages us to cultivate satisfaction with what is, rather than constantly seeking pleasures through the attainment of more.

The Tao Te Ching teaches that “to be content with what one has is to be truly rich.” In other words, “gratitude turns what we have into enough.”

If we can cultivate an appreciation for the things we do, have, and are in life, we start to view the world through the lens of contentment and satisfaction with what we already possess.
